The Oppo Find X9 Series has officially debuted in China, showcasing MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor and a 200MP camera system co-engineered with Hasselblad. Oppo has also introduced a limited period discount on the new flagship lineup, aiming to secure a stronger foothold in the premium smartphone segment ahead of its India launch next month.
Powerful Chipset and Advanced Imaging Lead the Lineup
The Oppo Find X9 Series represents the company’s most advanced hardware platform to date. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a 4nm flagship chipset designed for improved thermal efficiency, faster AI processing, and more stable gaming performance.
The Find X9 Pro model includes a 200MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 50MP telephoto lens, with image tuning developed in partnership with Hasselblad, a globally renowned Swedish camera manufacturer. The new camera system leverages AI-powered scene detection and real-time HDR optimisation for better low-light performance.
“The Dimensity 9500 is a breakthrough in both performance and energy efficiency,” said Chen Ming, Senior Vice President at Oppo. “Our goal is to give users a flagship experience that excels in photography, speed, and longevity.”
Oppo Find X9 Series Pricing and Limited Period Discount
Oppo is offering a limited period discount on pre-orders in China until October 30. Early buyers will receive a 10 percent price reduction on select variants, alongside bundled accessories.
- Find X9: Starting at ¥5,499 (approx. ₹65,500)
- Find X9 Pro: Starting at ¥6,799 (approx. ₹81,000)
- Find X9 Ultra (Special Edition): Starting at ¥7,499 (approx. ₹89,000)
Oppo India is expected to announce local pricing later this month. Industry analysts predict a starting price between ₹69,999 and ₹79,999 for the Pro variant, aligning it with direct competitors in the segment.
“Discounting at launch is a strategic move,” said Rajeev Mehta, Senior Analyst at Counterpoint Research. “It helps Oppo drive early volume and compete aggressively with brands like Samsung, OnePlus, and Apple in the premium tier.”
India Launch and Global Rollout Plans for Oppo Find X9 Series
The Find X9 Series will be available for retail sale in China from October 16, 2025, followed by a phased global rollout. The India launch is scheduled for November 2025, while select European markets are expected to receive the device in December.
This dual-market strategy allows Oppo to capitalise on early festive season sales in India and the holiday shopping period in Europe.
Oppo Find X9 Series Specifications: Flagship Hardware Meets Software Refinement
The Find X9 Series features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,600 nits. It runs on ColorOS 16, based on Android 15, with Oppo promising four years of software updates and five years of security patches.
Other key specifications include:
- Battery: 5,000 mAh with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging (full charge in 20 minutes)

“This is one of the most complete imaging systems in a mainstream flagship,” said Dr. Li Wei, a mobile imaging expert at Tsinghua University. “The 200MP sensor, paired with AI algorithms, could push smartphone photography to a new level.”
User Experience and AI Integration
Beyond raw specifications, Oppo has focused on enhancing user experience with AI-driven optimisations. The device includes AI Scene Booster, Adaptive Gaming Mode, and Battery Health Engine 3.0, which prolongs battery life by learning usage patterns.
Oppo also emphasised on-device AI, reducing dependency on cloud computing for features like real-time translation and voice assistants. This is expected to improve privacy and reduce latency.
“Our AI systems are built to work locally, making them faster and more secure,” said Wei Zhang, Head of Software Engineering at Oppo.
Competing in a Crowded Premium Segment
Oppo’s latest flagship enters a market dominated by a handful of global players. The iPhone 16 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and OnePlus 13 are its primary rivals, each offering top-tier performance and brand loyalty.
While Apple leads in ecosystem integration, and Samsung in S-Pen and display innovations, Oppo’s strategy focuses on camera innovation and price competitiveness. The Dimensity 9500 chipset, developed in partnership with MediaTek, positions the Find X9 as a direct performance rival to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered devices.
“MediaTek’s growing presence in the premium segment is significant,” said Anita George, Technology Editor at The Economic Times. “It challenges Qualcomm’s dominance and gives consumers more choice at competitive prices.”
Smartphone Market Trends in India
India remains a key growth market for premium smartphones, with shipments in the ₹50,000+ category rising 24% year-on-year in 2025, according to Counterpoint Research. Oppo currently holds a 9% market share in this segment, behind Apple and Samsung.
Consumer demand for high-performance devices with advanced camera systems is increasing, especially among urban professionals and creators. Oppo’s pricing strategy and aggressive retail expansion could help it capture a larger share of this premium market.
Software Ecosystem and Long-Term Strategy
Oppo is expanding its AI and device ecosystem, integrating the Find X9 Series with wearables, IoT devices, and smart home products. The company has also hinted at deeper integration with its in-house AI assistant and upcoming AR glasses.
Such ecosystem development mirrors strategies employed by Apple and Samsung, allowing Oppo to build stickier user experiences. Analysts believe this approach is key to long-term growth in the premium tier.
Outlook: Strong Entry, Long-Term Challenge
The Oppo Find X9 Series combines cutting-edge hardware with aggressive pricing to position itself as a serious flagship contender. With its Dimensity 9500 chipset, 200MP camera system, and limited period discount, Oppo is targeting early adopters and technology enthusiasts in both China and India.
Sustaining momentum, however, will depend on after-sales support, software reliability, and ecosystem maturity. If Oppo can deliver on these fronts, the Find X9 Series may mark a turning point in its global premium strategy.
