Freshers Carnival’ Fresher Party Celebrated with Enthusiasm at  GF’s  Godavari College of Engineering

Stepping into college from school marks a transition into a new world for students. As they enter college life, students often feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. To help these students get acquainted with the college and their seniors, a fresher party is organized.

 In this context, the second-year students of Godavari College of Engineering organized the Freshers’ Carnival for first-year students on November 18, 2024. The  event was graced by the presence of the college’s Principal, Dr. Vijaykumar Patil; Prof. Deepak Zhambre (Polytechnic Coordinator); Dr. Hemant Ingle (Dean); Dr. Ishwar Jadhav (Registrar); Dr. Nitin Bhole (Head, Basic Sciences and Humanities); Prof. Tushar Koli (Head, Mechanical Department); Prof. Nilesh Wani (Head, Computer Department); Dr. Anilkumar Vishwakarma (Head, Artificial Intelligence Department); Dr. Vijaykumar Wankhede (Training and Placement Officer), along with the entire faculty, non-teaching staff, and students.

 The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and worship of Goddess Saraswati by the dignitaries. Following this, the dignitaries were welcomed with floral bouquets by the students.

 The college’s Principal, Dr Vijaykumar  Patil, addressed the gathering, emphasizing that students should showcase their talents, which helps in developing maturity in their personalities. He also highlighted that such programs foster mutual relationships and holistic development. He encouraged everyone to actively participate in the day’s events and enjoy the program to the fullest.

 The day-long event was designed to enhance the students’ hidden talents, confidence, and mutual bonding. Various rounds were organized as part of the celebration. In the first round, students had to pick a chit from a bowl and complete the tasks mentioned in it. This round saw enthusiastic participation from all first-year students.

 In the second round, shortlisted students demonstrated their intellectual skills through the “Guess the Name in Pair” task. Finally, in the last round, the selected students showcased their talents in the Show Your Talent segment, presenting performances such as dance, singing, mimicry, and more.

 The highlight of the event was the selection of  Mr Fresher and  Miss Fresher.  Sumit Patil was crowned  Mr Fresher, and  Ms Ashwini Thakre was named  Miss Fresher.

 The event was  hosted by a team of second-year students, including Neelakshi Barde, Mansi Bhagat, Ganesh Kolte, Tejas Patil, Pallavi Takle, Neha Patil, Tejas Suryawanshi, Harshada Warule, Sagar Kuvar, Sakshi Ubale, Mayur Koli, Jhanvi Borse, Tulja Mahajan, Pranav Thorat, Mohish Narkhede, and Nutan Choudhary.

 Additionally, Prof. Hemraj Dhande, Prof. Jayashri Patil, Dr. Lalita Patil, and Prof. Tushar Koli contributed as  judges during the program.

 The event’s success was attributed to the  guidance of Dr. Nitin Bhole and Principal Dr. Vijaykumar Patil, along with the cooperation of all first-year faculty members.

  On November 10, 2024, GF’s Godavari College of Engineering buzzed with excitement as it hosted the Aavishkar 2025 zonal competition a prestigious event organized by  Dr Babasaheb  Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. Held annually since 2006, Aavishkar empowers students to delve into research, sparking their passion for innovation and problem-solving across six vibrant zones in Maharashtra.

  Dignitaries, including chief guest Mr.  Subhash Patil, Chairman of Mastek Controls, joined college principal Dr. Vijaykumar Patil and other prominent guests to kick start the day with a ceremonial Saraswati Pooja. Dr.  Vijaykumar Patil set the stage, highlighting the event’s mission to cultivate inventive thinking and research skills in tackling social challenges.

  Aavishkar’s star-studded agenda continued with talks on green energy, the future of electric mobility, and cutting-edge tech like 5G and cyber security.  Mr Subhash Patil urged students to gain hands-on skills and industry insights, focusing on internships and training for real-world impact.

  This year’s competition categories spanned Commerce, Pure Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, and the Humanities. Enthusiastic students from institutions across Maharashtra showcased groundbreaking projects and won medals for their remarkable work.

  The event was coordinated by Prof.  Nemichand Saini and  Prof Jaishree Patil from the Electrical Department, under the guidance of Dr. Vijaykumar Patil, Principal of Godavari College of Engineering. Student anchors  Tulja Mahajan and  Nilakshi Barde conducted the inauguration ceremony, while  Hemangi Baba and  Shrut Sonar skillfully managed the closing ceremony.

 Prof Nemichand Saini, serving as the Aavishkar Coordinator, expressed gratitude to all contributors through a heartfelt vote of thanks. The dedicated efforts of all department heads, faculty, and committee members were instrumental in making the program a resounding success.

Aavishkar 2025 left a powerful impact on participants and spectators alike, laying the groundwork for a new generation of innovative thinkers and problem-solvers. 

Inauguration of ” Pravartan 2024″  Induction Program at  GF’s  Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon

Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon, kick started its five-day Pravartan Induction Program for first-year engineering students today, September 23, 2024, with a grand inauguration ceremony. The event aims to help the newly admitted students ease into their academic journey by fostering interaction with the faculty and familiarizing them with the institute’s learning environment. The induction program is scheduled from September 23 to 27, 2024.

The ceremony was graced by the Honorable President of Godavari Foundation, Dr.Ulhas Patil, as the chief guest, along with the presence of Principal Dr. Vijaykumar Patil, Dr. Nitin Bhole (Head of the Basic Science and Humanities Department), Dr.Ishwar Jadhav (Registrar), Dr.Vijaykumar Wankhede (Training and Placement Officer), department heads, faculty members, and first-year students accompanied by their parents.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Puja, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.  Hon Dr.Ulhas Patil was felicitated by Principal  Dr.Vijaykumar  Patil with a bouquet, following which the ceremony moved on to introduce the faculty members to the students and their parents, establishing an early connection that promises to grow throughout their academic tenure.

During the ceremony, Dr.Nitin Bhole provided the students and parents with an insightful overview of the college, elaborating on its state-of-the-art facilities, various initiatives for student involvement, as well as the institution’s focus on academic excellence and skill development.

 Dr Vijaykumar Wankhede shared his wisdom with the students through an engaging story, highlighting the dos and don’ts for a successful college journey. He also gave valuable insights into the Training and Placement Cell’s role in securing future career opportunities for the students.

Principal Dr.Vijaykumar Patil introduced the students to the concept of the  Pravartan Induction Program. He explained the meaning of “Pravartan” as a new beginning or initiation, urging the students to seize career opportunities and align their academic paths with the initiatives offered by the college. Dr. Patil also emphasized the growing prospects in the IT sector, encouraging students to work on soft skills and take part in co-curricular activities for overall development. He provided a detailed guide on the New Education Policy and advised students to create a four-year academic roadmap that, if followed diligently, will lead to placements in top companies.

 Teachers  Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at  GF’s  GCOE  Jalgaon

Today, on 5th September 2024,  GF’s  Godavari  College  of  Engineering, Jalgaon marked  Teachers  Day with a heartfelt tribute to educators. Students took charge of lectures and practical in honor of their mentors, showcasing their appreciation. The celebration featured  speeches by students,  felicitating the entire teaching staff, and a spirited  debate competition.

Principal  Dr Vijay Kumar  Patil highlighted the crucial role of educators in nation-building, emphasizing the need for their empowerment. The event concluded with a  prize  distribution for the winners of the speech and debate competitions, attended by HODs, faculty, and students.

 GF’s  Godavari College of  Engineering Organizes  Orientation on  NEP 2020

 On August 2, 2024, Godavari Foundation’s Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon, hosted an insightful orientation on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event was graced by resource person,  Dr  Suhas  Gajre, Principal of Government College of Engineering, who provided students with valuable insights into NEP 2020.  Dr.  Vijayakumar  Patil, Principal of Godavari College of Engineering, felicitated Dr. Suhas Gajre during the program.

  Dr  Anil  Kumar  Vishwakarma, NEP Coordinator and HoD of AIDS, outlined the structure and objectives of NEP 2020, highlighting its visionary approach to transforming our education system to meet the demands of the 21st century.  Dr  Vijaykumar  Patil emphasized the policy’s focus on critical thinking, creativity, and holistic development.

   Key  highlights from Dr. Suhas Gajre’s address included: 

  Holistic  Multidisciplinary  Education: NEP 2020 promotes flexible and multidisciplinary undergraduate education with multiple exit options.

  Teacher  Training  and  Development: NEP 2020 aims to enhance the quality of teacher education and training, making it more rigorous and practice-oriented.

  Impact  and  Implementation: The phased and systematic implementation of NEP 2020 will require collaboration among governments, educational institutions, educators, and other stakeholders.

 Dr. Suhas Gajre also addressed students’ queries during and after the program, providing satisfactory answers. The event was praised by  Dr  Ulhas  Patil, President of Godavari Foundation, and  Dr  Ketki  Patil., member of Godavari Foundation. GF’s  Godavari  College  of  Engineering Jalgaon Inspires with “A  Career  Pathway  for  Data  Scientist” Expert Talk! ” 

 Today, on April 5th, 2024, the  Department  of  AI &  DS Engineering at GF’s Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon, hosted an insightful  expert  talk titled ” A  Career  Way  for  Data  Scientist.” This event was held in collaboration with the  IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) and  IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council).

 The session, held at the college’s Auditorium Hall at 10.00 AM, featured  Ms.  Akshada  V.  Patil, a Data Scientist, who shared her expertise and  guided  students  on:-

  •  Study material and websites for preparation.
  •  Building a successful career in Data Science.
  •  Understanding the in-demand skills and knowledge required for this exciting field.
  •  Exploring the various career paths available to Data Scientists.

IEEE  Technovation  2024 Project Competition and Exhibition Successfully Concludes at  GF’s Godavari  College  of  Engineering Jalgaon   

The IEEE Bombay Section organizes a state-level project competition and exhibition (Technovation) every year. Technovation is a national level project expo that includes themes such as VLSI, Robotics, Sciences, and Software Development. The national level project competition and exhibition aims to foster creativity and curiosity in the young minds of the new generation.

Today on April 3, 2024, the technical event IEEE Technovation 2024 was organized at Godavari College of Engineering by the IEEE Student Branch.

The program was graced by  Dr.  Varsha  Patil, Secretary of Godavari Foundation,  Prof  Dattatraya  Sawant (Chairman, Student Activities Committee, IEEE, Bombay Section, Mumbai), College Principal  Dr  Vijaykumar  Patil, Polytechnic Coordinator  Prof  Deepak  Zhambare, and Dean Academics and IEEE Student Branch Counselor,  Prof  Hemant  Ingle.  Prof  Jyoti  Kundale (Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai),  Prof  Swapnali  Makade (Father Rodrigues College of Engineering, Mumbai),  Prof  Mahesh  N  Patil, and  Prof.  Nilesh  Chaudhary were present as evaluators.

 At the beginning of the program, lamp lighting and Saraswati Puja were performed. After that, the dignitaries were welcomed with shawls, coconut, and bouquets.

In the welcome address, College Principal  Dr  Vijaykumar  Patil informed the students about Technovation. He said that such competitions give students a chance to showcase their talent. He urged the students to participate in maximum numbers to the competition.

  Prof  Dattatraya  Sawant, while speaking about Technovation, spoke about the various initiatives being taken by the IEEE. He also explained the rules of the competition. While addressing the students he insisted to follow four core values of life ie. creativity, curiosity, simplicity and humanity to be successful.

  Dr  Varsha  Patil, Secretary of Godavari Foundation, congratulated the students on the competition and assured that such programs will be organized regularly. She also praised the organizers for the wonderful event.

 Around 161 students registered for the program through 48 different projects. The competition was organized for students from ten districts namely Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Parbhani, Buldhana, Latur, Jalna, Akola, Washim, Dhule and Nandurbar.

 The winning students will take their project to the final round project competition at Amrutvahini College of Engineering, Sangamner for presentation.

 The program coordinator  Dr  Anil  Kumar  Vishwakarma worked hard for the success of the program under the guidance of Prof. Hemant Ingle and Dr. Vijaykumar Patil.

 All the heads of departments, faculty members, and students of the college were present in large numbers for the program. The students responded enthusiastically to the competition.

  Dr  Ulhas  Patil, Chairman of Godavari Foundation and Member  Dr  Ketki  Patil congratulated the organizers for the program and wished the participating students all the best.

 The program was anchored and hosted by students Neelakshi Barde, Prerana Patil, Konika Patil, Hemakshi Rane, and Hemangi Bawa.

 GF’s  Godavari College of  Engineering Jalgaon Hosts Successful  “Full Stack Development &  AI Hands on  Training”  

Godavari Foundation’s Godavari College of Engineering (GCOE) Jalgaon recently partnered with  Felix IT System Pune to deliver an intensive three-day hands-on training program in Full Stack Development and Artificial Intelligence.

 The program, held from March 20-22, 2024, equipped students with practical skills in web development and core concepts of AI and Data Science.

  Highlights of the Program:-

  Day 1: Led by professional IT trainer and MERN Stack developer  Mr Niraj Joshi, students were introduced to the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. They further applied these technologies to build their own personal portfolio websites.

  Day 2: Taking a deep dive into JavaScript, Mr. Joshi guided students in coding and creating interactive applications. The participants built a Movies app and a Digital Clock using Javascript and ReactJS.

  Day 3:  Mr Rohit Shah, a seasoned professional with expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI, took center stage. He introduced the participants to the vast world of Data Science, including Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Intelligence. The session delved into the concept of Statistics and its applications through T-tests, ANOVA, and Chi-square tests. Additionally, students explored Linear and Logistic Regression along with data handling techniques.

  Bonus Content:- The program offered valuable bonus content on creating virtual environments, understanding Python data types, and working with Jupyter Notebook.

 The  IEEE Student Branch at GF’s Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon, hosted a dynamic  panel discussion on  E Waste management on March 19th, 2024!

 This important event, led by TY BTech (Computer Engineering) students Bhole Jatin Dilip, Patil Nitin Dagadu, and Patil Ganeshraj Nimba, addressed the critical issue of electronic waste and its impact on our environment.

 The event was organised under the guidance of esteemed faculty members Dr. Vijaykumar Patil (Principal), Prof. Hemant T Ingale (Dean Academics), Prof. Nilesh Y Choudhary (Dean Examination), Prof. Yogesh V Fengade, and Prof Devendra M Fegade.

 The student panelists delivered  insightful presentations on:-
