Freshers  party

Freshers  party, named ” Freshers  Frenzy”, happened at  GF’s  Godavari  College  of  Engineering, with full of excitement.

Every year, the college organises a fresher’s party. The main aim of this party is to give an affectionate welcome to new students. Such parties instill confidence in students and enhance their creativity. The purpose of the party is to welcome new students and introduce them to the campus social scene.

When students step from school to college, they enter a new world. Entering college life, students are a bit overwhelmed. A fresher party is organised for these students to get to know the college and their seniors.

In this regard, Godavari College of Engineering Jalgaon, organised a freshers party called ” Freshers  Frenzy” on October 13, 2023, for the newly admitted first-year and second-year students.  Dr.  Vijayakumar  Patil (Principal),  Prof.  Hemant  Ingle (Dean Academics),  Prof.  Ishwar  Jadhav (Registrar),  Dr  Nitin  Bhole (Head, Basic Sciences and Humanities),  Prof  Mahesh  Patil (Head of Electrical Department),  Prof  Tushar Koli (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department), and  Dr  Anilkumar  Vishwakarma (Head of AI&DS Department) All faculty, non-teaching staff, and all the students of the college were present for the party.

The programme started with lamp lighting and Saraswati Pujan in the presence of the present dignitaries. In the welcome speech,  Dr  Vijayakuma  Patil (Principal), while guiding the students, said that, students should present their qualities so that other people will learn about their personalities. He also quoted the importance of such programmemes in student life and appealed to everyone to participate in and enjoy the programme.

In the planning of the day’s programme, different rounds were organised in such a way as to develop hidden qualities, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging among the students. In the  first  round, the male and female students had to complete the given task by removing the notes from different bowls. All the boys and girls of the first year participated very happily in the round, called the ” Fish  Bowl”. Then, the students selected for the  second round had to show their physical and intellectual skills by doing a ramp walk and answering some questions. After that, the students selected in the final round had to present the art of their own interest. In this round called ” Face  Offs”, students performed different arts like dance, singing, and mimicry.

In the  final  round, Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher were selected.  Mr  Ganesh  Kolte as Mr. Fresher and  Ms  Sanika  Kasar as Miss Fresher were the winners.

The programme was moderated by Shruti Sonar, Chetan Baviskar, Prachi Girase, Shweta Borse, Chanchal  Patil, Akshata Bhole, Kunal Bagul, Jai Khadse, Prathamesh Pawar, Shruti Deshmukh, Durgesh Sonar, Sejal Satav, Diksha Ramraje, Harshali More, Namrata Sangile, Swami Pawar, Vaishnavi Pingle, and Sakshi Bari, all second-year students.

*For the success of the programme, all the staff of the first year worked hard under the guidance of  Dr  Vijayakumar  Patil,  Prof  Hemant  Ingale, and  Dr  Nitin  Bhole.  Prof  Amit  Mhaskar coordinated the programme.

All the students were very happy and enthusiastic about the programme and gave a great response.
